need some quick input after receiving a fiasco order

Ordered from saltwaterfish.com and won't be doing so again ever.
I ordered a 4-6" Koran Angel and a 3'4" Bursa Trigger

The Koran arrived about 2.5" and the Trigger about 2"

Here's the issue. I wanted them as tank mates for my Lion. However he is 6-7." I'm assuming that they'll be lunch for the lion. They are still acclimating as I write. I put my lion in the sump for now.

The major dilemma is that I basically set the tank up with the desire to have a lion. I've had him for about 3 months. I really like these new fish as well and they seem very nice (from what I can tell while acclimating). The ideal situation is that they can co-exist but I'm not banking on that.

So, what's the best option...see if a store will trade this lion for a smaller one? Does anyone think they will be ok with him? I don't know what to do. If I put them in the main tank, I will never be able to get them out. Any help?

That would make the most sense, but I don't know if I want to get rid of him. He was basically the reason I set up the tank. I have since put him back in the main display and put the others in the sump. They are nice but I'm afraid they are too small. I don't think the Lion pays attention to anything other than size.

Is there any chance you could somehow create a temporary divider in the tank with something like eggcrate until the two new fish grow some?

I wouldnt think that the lion would do anything if there both agressive, but dont listen to me. My knowledge on lion fish isnt that high.

Fishieness is right, you did PAY for larger fish. As I recall when shopping for fish the larger a fish the higher the price. Teh smaller the fish well the lower the price, assuming the fish grows more than 3".
I'd contact them and demand a refund if they are not going to make it right by selling you what you paid for. Geting the credit card company involved woul dbe key and let them know that you will do that.

Other than that, CTReefer has a great idea, us egg crate and set up a divider. Get the fish used to each other and see how it goes. If they are "attacking" the egg crate then it is a sign that they won't get along.

You wouldn't see any aggression from the lion if he plans on eating his tankmates... just "pa pow"... dinner is served! I doubt the eggcrate will help you much! I hate to add insult to injury but this is an issue of ordering online... can't just bring em back... I'd get rid of the lion...

I have only ordered online a few times. I am always reluctant for that reason...you can never see the actual fish swimming in front of you. However, I couldn't find what I was looking for anywhere.
Update: Lion is back in the tank. He's a little scratched up from the transfer to and from the sump. However, I couldn't bring myself to get rid of him. He is a Volitan.
The puffer and Koran are in my sump. I haven't decided what to do with them. I will perhaps sell them or keep the puffer in the sump until he grows bigger.
As for Saltwaterfish, they are sending me the bigger Koran that I ordered. Since I paid for that one, it makes the most sense. So, so far, they are holding up to their end of the bargain. As of right now, there are two healthy fish ( a 2" bursa trigger and a 2.5" Koran Angel)

Keep the lion well fed. And if the fish are that small couldnt they hide in the live rock. If your plan was for a lion fish in the begining than the other two have to go. There are plenty of people on this thread who will buy those fish, you will however lose shipping lesson learned.

I dont see a big problem the company goofed it happens.
on the other hand they made it right by sending you what you ordered and let you keep the smaller they sent by accident.

not real sure but to me thats real customer service there most places would probably not do that.
