If you have sand in the tank you might want to work on siphoning it out and replacing it or go bare bottom. Tanks too new to have a lot of beneficial critters in it yet and could be a nutrient sink. Think about a algae turf scrubber or refugium with cheato. I also like the marine pure blocks for bio filtration as well. Most of us have been there to some degree. In the next year you will face lots of trials. Just don't spend a lot of money on livestock and try to get captive breed fish and frags. Not only do they survive our stupidity better, they also lessen our impact on nature when we kill them. And trust me u will. We all have. Remember too change/add one thing at a time then monitor your results for a few weeks before moving on.
