need some Stand help.

Im debating on how to build the stand for my 280gal tank. Its 72x36x25 Whats the best way to build a stand? Iv never built one for this size of tank. I dont want the thing to bust on me. Any ideas. thanks for the help

It sounds like you have a lot of homework to do. I can offer some suggestions to get you started. You need to decide if you are going to go with steel or wood first of all. You could easily build a stand with 2x4's or 2x6's and plywood. Look around the reef tank builds here on RC to help you understand how they go together. I would also try to find some local people to assist you if you don't have the skills to engineer it yourself. Saltwater clubs tend to have a lot of knowledgable people on hand.

im going to use wood. I have built them before. I buit one for my 75 gal and just buit one last night to hold my storage tank but have never built one for a tnak this big.

Thanks for the help. Your pic helps alot. Thats how i was thinking about making the stand but wasn't sure if it would be enough. But its holding yours so it should hold mine lol.
