Need some suggestions

Ok, So I want to buy a good skimmer for my 29g FOWLR tank and I would like some suggestions. The pet store here only carries the Sea Clone and I have seen that those are just overpriced paperweights, so I'll have to buy online. I also need to stay fairly inexpensive, and any suggestions as to where to buy would be helpful as well... Thank you all for your help in advance..

Corallife superskimmer well priced and dependable. And upsize always. I use a 120 for my 75.

Oh I guess I should also mention that it needs to be a hang on tank style.. I don't have a sump

This is a hang on but you can use it in a refugium if you want to later. Less main tank clutter and you will always battle micro bubbles with HOB skimmer. PLus this skimmer will freak whene you place your hand in the water or use epoxy or Super Glue. Infact you may have to shut off for 24 hours if you use epoxy cause it will really freak.

Yea research is best. There are many differant types and this is the only one i have used. But collects some of the dirties smelliest stuff i have ever seen on earth.

One question about that particular skimmer... Is it very loud? My tank is in my bedroom.. so quieter the better!

If you keep the water level up it stay pretty quite. Just like a HOB filter.The moore the level drops the louder it gets.

I have been using the CSS 220 for the past year in sump and though it needs TLC, once it is dialed in, it skims well. Th only drawback is that you have to be careful when adding things coral aminos, some additives because it can over flow the cup. I usually just dial it back for half a day when I do.
Here is a RC Thread that helps alot on the CSS skimmers. Its pretty long and not all the DIY will apply but great read. Helped me understand how to 'dial' mine in to skim properly.

i use a Corallife superskimmer well priced and dependable an i had to get the bigger one for my 72 gal bowfront. you can hang it or put it in ur sump or hang it on your sump. i hung it on my sump.

i use to remora. it's nice. the bubble trap was a must though. Which i don't really like taking up prime real estate with a stupid black box
