Need southdown or similar sand

Anyone know where I can get some type of sand similar to southdown...I need alot...probably a couple hundred pounds at least. Thanks,
 
Kevin Carpenter, owner of Zilla, had a boatload of southdown available. I believe he's gotten rid of the unopened packages, but he had a huge barrel full of dry, used southdown. You might want to drop him a line. He's KevinC on RC.
 
There was a thread on here where some people were using pulverized limestone as a substrate.I beleive the brand name was pavestone,as far as I can remember they were having good success with it.
 
hmm, yea I bought a bag of pavestone sand at home depot, I didnt use it because there was no info on what was mixed in it...
 
They were using the pulverized limestone for making a base to put the block on i don't know if the sand is the same or not might try the vinegar test.
