hey guys,
im currently working on a 10g reef setup, i plan on adding a 10g fuge down the line and focusing on mostly corals in this tank. im lovin the live rock i set up so far, n my fish seems to love it too (yellow tail damsel), but being that my reef is still fairly new and ive had sum issues with amazon, my lighting system is, ummm, sub-par for the time being (1x 18" 5500k flourescent bulb). as i am working with a college student budget, i am trying my very best to keep this tank to a very minimum cost. with that said, ive been thinking about buying the marineland single bright led system (50$), and supplementing it with a few 18" actinic bulbs as needed. my question here is does anybody have any other budget friendly ideas (preferably under 75-100$)? and more specifically, does anybody have any reccomendation for choosing the marineland single bright or double bright? the double bright is only 10$ more, and it makes sense to go with the extra lumens, but the issue is that i dont want too much yellow light. also, being that cost is my other issue, does it make more sense to save the 10$ and put it towards actinics? i would love to compare the two, in person, before making my decision.
thanx for reading, look forward to getting sum help!
