Need Tank Drilled.

Any one know where in the Eat Bay I can take my tank and have it drilled? Its a 46G BF and I want to install an overflow in it before setting it back up.

And where should I get the plastic for the overflow? Tap plastics, just measure what I want and have um cut it? or any one have a better idea?

Thanks in advance,
Kris

Is it a glass tank? I doubt home depot will have diamond coated hole saws, they do have drill bits that you can drill through glass/ceramic tile. But you need to be careful... might be hard since the bowfront doesn't exactly let you rest it on the side.

If its acrylic, just get a hole saw.

the bits are like 6.99 for 2. they have a pack that comes with both ones you need. i got mine at walmart

Yeah, its glass. Only $6.99 for the bits at walmart? Why did I think they were way more expensive. Oh, well. Maybe I'm off to Wally World this weekend and who knows maybe even Tap Plastics....

Looks like I"m going to learn to drill a tank...

it is tempered, dont drill unless you want a bottomless tank!!

$6.99 for bits at WalMart. Yes cheap wood hole saws, not diamond bit hole saws. I paid many times more than seven bucks for mine!!!

Damn, so, no way to have it drilled? Lucky I checked this today, cause I was about to drill, but decided to take a break from working on projects for a little while.

So, the bottom is def tempered and can not be drilled?

Can the back be drilled?

Tyler(MorandiWine) drilled my 37G in the back, and he did a great job. Just pm him, and he will take care of it for you.

I meant for those dremel diamond bit tips.

And yeah, you were right, they were $5.95 for Diamond point set dremmel bits. They might be cheap, but I bet they'll work. I think I'm just going to drill the back tomorrow and then run some pvc down the back to the sump or the flex hose from my overflow box.- Most likely, some pvc though.

Thanks, guys, if you have any tips on what to make sure I do or any make sure you don't forget tips, lets have em, other wise, I'll let you know how it turns out.

If you're committed to drilling you might consider going ahead and drilling out a couple extra holes for a CL too.
