Need to frag these palys

Totally overgrown. I've got a new frag tank set up. About to frag for first time. I've watched plenty of videos, but one question I have - can they be removed from the rock (by razor), or is the only way to do it to break off the rock in little pieces? This is one of my show pieces, so I hate the idea of it fracturing. Thanks in advance.

You can definitely peel them off the rock, just use something sharp and go slow.
If it was me, i'd use bone cutters and cut the rock.
First cut the polyps where you want them separated, then cut the rock.
You can always cut the rock smaller and smaller, and you don't run the risk of damaging the polyp peeling it off.
A bit of rock also gives you something to glue to the frag plug.
I know you can just glue the polyp, but if that's all you got, sometimes accidents happen and the polyp gets ruined.

You can remove it by razor.just be careful and use gloves and goggles.

Yeah, this is so overblown it's ridiculous.
With my clumsy hands and bad eyesight, so way would I be able to frag an individual polyp without using my fingers and removing my glasses.
These don't look to be the "killer" palys. :rolleye1:

I just take a razor and cut close to the base and use a turkey baster to suck them out. Then glue them to a a plug or to a small piece of LR. Where safety glasses so you don't get anything in your eyes.
