my reading about a week and a half ago were at just a tad over 520 .. i know that is super high . i have done more water changes and also have not added any more kalk to the reactor . i tried to remove the most of the kalk that was in the reactor. (i realize i was adding way to much kalk) should i do another water change and just wait for the reactor to run down to normal readings of 400- 420 .. or shoudl i do a major water change to get it in line.. thank you for any advice.. What's your alkalinity like? It might be through the roof too.

If it were me I'd just stop dosing kalk and let nature take it's course, if alk is fine you can always dose baking soda to keep that part up.

i tested for the alk and it is ok , on the higher side of ok but definetly ok..

let it drop naturaly and as your Alk drops, raise it with baking soda. Don't use the kalk until you get to where you want to be.
