Need to re-Do TTM!

It's been brought to my attention that a product called Hikari Ich-x will treat Brook as it has formaldehyde in it.

I'm not quite sure how to use it though. Do I just dose the 20 gallon once? Do I need to keep dosing?

Paraguard has malachite green in it. Seachem says it'll treat Brook. I just dosed the tank with Paraguard until I can get out and get the Hikari Ich-X.

I ordered some Chloroquine Phosphate. From reading it treats the most common diseases.

Need to read up on the dosing, but it appears that the initial dose should be 75mg, and 10 days later, another 75mg. Then 20 days of observation.

CP dosing should be a single dose @ 40mg/gal. If you do a water change, then redose the new water at the same concentration. There's a lengthy thread about CP here on this forum - recommended reading. I've never used Ich-X, as it has a lower concentration of formalin than the standard 37%.

I will read the CP thread. I have some coming, but won't be here until Friday. Until then, have been dosing Paraguard. I like that the CP is a single dose since I'll be going on vacation for a week, I can dose it, and know that it's working for a week, and not have to worry about it.

Came home from a meeting and saw the other clown remaining in the biocube at the top sipping air. No fight from the fish to scoop out (first sign of a problem), and put in the other tank with the clown. No visible symptoms but this is what the other clown that I think has Brook was doing.

Treating with Paraguard until the CP gets here on Friday. What a way to start the hobby.
