Need to remove crab

Hey everyone, i have had a sally light foot for about two years, i got him with only four legs, and transferred him from my 55 to 90 gallon reef tank. Now he's huge and extremely fast. I believe he is responsible for eating my entire population of snails/shrimp and cuc.

Do i have to tear down my entire tank to get to him or is there some kind of trick? I've attempted several times to catch him, our hold his leg with my target feeder but he's just too fast. Any ideas?
I am absolutely dreading to have to rip out my entire system, as it will stress the fish and more than likely kill some coral.

You can easily learn online how to make traps using a water bottle, a peice of krill, and patience. Might even catch a few other unwanted things too.

I used a powerade bottle and tried to trap him with krill for a week... He won't leave the liverock. Hes smarter than that.

Use something more... enticing. Try a piece of raw fish, squid, clam, etc.

I caught many crabs by taking a large jar and putting some fresh shrimp in the bottom of it right before bed time. Lean the jar up against something at a 45 degree angle. They can get in but the glass is too slippery for them to climb out. All of the tiny crabs that came on my rock grew large enough in 6 months time to where they were eating my fish. I was surprised when I caught about a dozen of them, having no idea there were that many in there. If your Sally Lightfoot is big, get a 1 gallon pickling jar. Good luck.

I had one once. I eventually contemplated a shotgun, in the end it was a tank tear down after months of trying to get the monster. Good luck

used the mason jar idea to catch 2 large male emerald crabs in my 75 reef using a peice of clam meat they were to heavy to climb out on the narsarius snails that were going in and out of the jar, i would employ a peice of fishing string to lift the jar to the surface as well
