Hi I'm having dramas with one of my black and white clowns it seems to swim around then go and lay on bottom gasping for air it's lost lots of weight but is still feeding as normal if u go near tank the fish will start swimming about ive tried so many diff medicines from shop and today I have noticed 3 murky white patches on tail end of fish please help me I love my fish and have had my pair of clowns since I began

have you tested ammonia lately? is the most common cause. how old is your tank?

The tank is 2 years old and all lvls r spot on

Not sure what it is, but I would hold off on the medication until you identify the problem. It tends to backfire on people who start dosing their tank with random chemicals and in the end may cause the clown and system to be worse off.

When was the last item that was wet added to the tank?

Did you recently do a water change with messed up salinity?

One time when I forgot to check my salinity, I believe my reef crystals got too much moisture or something, but it didn't reach normal salinity and one of the two of my former clownfish did something similar. I thought I had lost him and checked EVERYWHERE on my hardwood floor and then I just saw him nuzzled underneath a rock laying there like he was dying.

My tank was 1.026 and I poured in like 1.014 or something on a 40% change.. I didn't lose him to that, but Ich about a week later which I think could have been started by shocking all my stuff >:3 Now.... I fight ich..... fml

But you never know, I could be wrong.. No real way of knowing :[ I hope he's okay... Good luck!
