Need weird DIY suggestion for ATO system

Hello guys and gals.

I have a 10g tank and a JBJ ATO system. The sensor is mounted in an in-tank sump, which is no problem at all. I have a vinyl hose coming up from a 5g reservoir tank, but the problem is:

I am having problems finding a way to either clip it in the right spot so that it doesn't siphon water out of the tank, or figure out how to build something to keep the hose hanging on the side of the tank. Space is VERY limited. 1/2" PVC is way, way too big for this application. It will have to be something much smaller ... some kind of U-tube that I can snug a small vinyl tube up on.

I am trying to rack my brain, but can't think of anything at the moment.

If the larger diameter vinyl tubing isn't going to work, I guess I could purchase an aqualifter pump and hook it onto some airline tubing...

Just looking for any suggestions.

The sump is a 6.5" hypotenuse right triangle located in the right hand corner of the tank. Maybe an aqualifter is the best bet, but how would you clip it or make it stay in place?

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up going with a gang valve with a check valve on it that hangs on the side of the tank. The airline tube that goes through the gang valve is connected to an aqualifter pump, which has just failed on me. I need to figure out how to get the ATO reservoir up higher so the lifter doesn't have to work so hard.
