needed: empty 30g tank or 20 long for meeting on saturday

While it won't be ideal, I'm going to bring two 10g tanks along. They won't be ideal, but they will be good back up just in case.

use a bubbler to blow air down to the intake and it will chop the bubbles up perfectly to show the flow pattern...

Except that bubbles rise, so that's going to be less obvious...

Don't know about everyone else, but i think i would not want anything running through my pump, that i wouldn't want a piece of hiding and ending up in my display at home. I think either bubles, or some flake food would be best for a demo/test. Something organic anyway.

Apart from the modified Mjs, all the other pumps will be mine, and i will clean them afterwards anyway.

I am anxious to see what the MJ does. I will also be interested in if this cuts the life of the pump, and if it heat up more. The MJ is already a pretty warm running pump. I have done tests, and my MJ heats my tank by 2* more then my seio m620.

I tried it out today, works well. Tim is going to check the wattage on it.

We also tried it on a simple wavemaker and it worked really well....

I was impressed.

I think it'd be nice to have a tank for each powerhead so that we can compare the results - one for maxijet mod, one for SEIO, one for a Tunze. (of course a Tunze may make a 20g tank explode)
