hi all,
i have a 100 litre tank
it is full of damsel and 3 different wrasse

can i add 2 clownfish to the tank?

sorry if my english so bad..

You should definitely start doing lots of reading.

That said, damsels are usually very aggressive, and they won't tolerate your clowns for very long. They're in the same family.

thank you very much eric

but why the liveaquaria.com compability chart says its compatible
look the chart below

compatibility_chart.gif

look column 12 row 13

"C" with caution.

There is a big difference between 1 damsel and 1 clown in a tank vs. 6 damsels.

Plus, the damsels are already established. My fear is the clownfish will be harrassed to death.

As it is, 100 litres is probably too small for 6 damsels. My frag tank is 100 gallons and I have 2 damsels in it. Had them for years now. They fight on a fairly regular basis. I'm confident that if I tried to add another, he would end up as food for the hermit crabs!

Can you add them to the tank? Yes.

Will the Damsels kill them? More than likely.

If you want the clowns, relocate the Damsels.

No they wont' kill each other, the damsel will take the whole tank to themselves and force the clowns into a corner and not move out. Eventually the clowns will die because of stress or they are fed up and fight back then they will die. Sad story.

oh,sad story.
but my damsels not friendly each other.in fact, one damsel almost die because his fins attacked by the stronger damsel.but he recovered fastly and get his
territory in tank

If you need clownfish get tomato , maroons or cinnamon. Depending on the size of your damsels they will be able to hold their own. But honestly that will be a royal rumble constantly and if it were me I would ditch the damsels and get the clowns you want.

Ocellaris or percula prob will lead to what is stated above and could very likely be the same outcome with my reccomended ones. Established damsels or damsels in general are very territorial and down right mean. Good luck and remember to not overstock the tank.

thanks man,wish me luck

just info, in my country some damsels are more expensive than clownfish
a damsel costs about $0.80 each while a clownfish costs $0.70,LOL
so damsels worth too right?
