Nemo-Marine?

Anyone deal with Nemo Marine before? It looks like they sell tank system setups and such. nemo-marine.com

eep. I was just asking to see if anyone's dealt with them before.

I'm looking for a 36" x 20" x ~24" starphire tank =P

I can't find any local builders, and shipping from other places are ridiculous =(

The elosusa tank is nice, but a tad too small for me and their stands are really short =/ Doing customizations and changing stand height (such as adding starphire) brings the price up A LOT.

Why don't you check with the SoCal reefer? I'm sure they know. If shipping too much just rent a van and go down there to pick up :D .

yeah, i don't think shipping will be expensive from leemar, but I'm having a bit of trouble getting a quote from them through a LFS.

i can't find a quote from Leemar. I asked mermaid a couple times.

i'll try all about fish today.

Stores only have so much energy for "prospecting" customers.

yeah, if they knew me they'd know that I buy things and sell them right away to gresham and phong they'd get on it real fast ;)

the LFS does do a good job at trying to get a quote, but the wait time is really with LeeMar at the moment =/

The thing is, the sale of a tank makes a LFS pretty much nothing. Going the extra mile to get a custom, still earns them next to nothing. The add's on's (skimmers, heaters, etc) and livestock are where they make the money ;) You buy online, and never set-up a tank, so no livestocks sales  Sorry :D

 ah.... I wasn't trying to win :D

FWIW, I've heard of Nemo Marine, met him, and I think he's a customer of ours, but I've don't have any experience with his tanks, set-ups or service. Guess I really never had anything to add to this thread, sorry :D Guess I need to get back to work  fricken copepod counting, wuppie :(

.. fricken copepod counting, wuppie :(

gotta show us how to do that

omg, copepod counting? that's crazy.

one thousand five hundred and sixty two... one thousand five hundred and sixty three... OH LOOK, half of one! one thousand five hundred and sixty three and a half...

1st trick, don't try to count them in a bottle. Concentrate them down using a 53ul seive, grab a 4ml sample, and count drop by drop on a grid w/ a white background (use scope if you don't have good eyes). Do this 3 times, take average, divide by 4, and you have the count per ML. Divide 800 by the ML count, and that's how many ML's should be "squirted" into each bottle.
