hey i just picked up 3 neon gobies for my 120 tank, i was wondering wow to feed these little guys, it appears that they also have a mild case of ick, i am also wondering if it would be best to take them out for fear of infecting other fish. I would of q-tanked them but my q-tank is currently down for repair.

thanks gillie

Under current tanks it says you have a 120g semi-aggressive reef....neons are best suited to peaceful tanks.

I'm not sure how long it would take for ick to be transferred to your display, although I think any contact would be all that is needed. If you can catch them, I'd QT them and treat.
Mine eat what ever I feed....mysis, brine, greens, etc. Not picky that I can tell, rather mini pigs.

Good luck !

They just need small size food particles. Pellets and mysis are too big. Mine eat small flake particles and cyclopeeze.

I used to always buy them and within a week theyd have Ich. About 6 months ago I got a really good deal on a pair of them and ever since they have been fine. Mine sadly never clean any of the fish and mine are Wild Caught since they are a local fish here in FL...this was in my 55g reef. I also had one for about a year and a half in my 6g reef! So either keep them as a true pair or with peaceful fish!

I had one who would anything I offered, flake, mysis, blood worms.... didn't matter

Too bad he jumped ship after 4 months in the tank. Never had any problems with ich.

I have a couple in my tank and they clean all the time. sticking onto the sides of other fish is not uncommon at all. I dont think your gona have much luck catching them, as long as you keep there stress low they will be fine. Time heals all wounds bro.
