Well I researched a bunch of controllers, got it down to three brands. Aquatronica, ReefKeeperII and the Neptune's three. Aquatronica sounded interesting, but I am not fluent in Italian, lot of good ideas but could get expensive. I presently have had the ReefKeeper I, works good, cheap but limited. The ReefKeeper II looks cool, is cheap, but has some shortcomings, Temp. control no spread, heater could flash off and on. They are still working on their programing update to compete with Neptune's Jr. Now the Neptune line, The Jr. about same price and features as RK II, AquaController III, Temp can be set as you like it(I have heaters on 2 channels, one at 76.7-77, the other at 76.8-77). This way one heater handles all but super cold or malfunction cases, then second heater will kick in. Will swap heaters every year so they get even wear. It monitors and logs ( on unit or PC if you like ) and can control Temp, pH and ORP. It can be set up to e-mail and page. It has a built in server so if your on DSL, you can monitor and control your reef from anywhere in the world. The AquaController III-PRO has conductivity and oxygen probes also but I would never use these and about $200 difference. Another fun and useful toy
