New 1073.040 question

Just opened up my new 1073.040 to check it out and the exterior of the pump as oil and oil droplets all over it. Is this normal, or abnormal? Not sure where it's from or what would be the cause, but wanted to see if this is something of concern, or just how they are shipped. Thanks.

That is normal, it is 5ml of a 20% glycerin solution that is used for a factory test run, there is essentially 1ml of glycerin and 4ml of water in the pump, it is harmless.
