The tank is One years old, 1500L and have Very good paramiters and also have same sps doing well. What I must be aware of? Can it be done? the corals are mdium to big size. thank you.

I would be most concerned about pests on the corals.

Make sure to blast them with a turkey baster in the dip container and if any pest are present do not add that coral to your system.

Good one thanks. But my other concern is what will happen with tha alk. Mag. And ca? Or what changes y must espect? Thanks

Yes... Let's see what comes from the sea :) but I will be very very carfull.

Remember to detach any rock/stone that is attached to the coral. Try to get only the live tissue, no dead skeleton or anything attached to rock. This will reduce the chances of getting AEFW a great deal.

Hmmm Yes pests would be the first worry.

Your tank seems pretty big..but have you considered adding the cons about mixing softies with stony? That should be the second worry.

Since you are going to add stony corals, you have to ever more careful on pH, Alk, Ca , Mg and PO4....measure them before adding the corals and moniter continuously and rectify as needed. All of them has a chance of declining. Would be wise to check for Ammonia also in the beginning days of adding the corals.

Adding a lot of corals especially softies at a shot even in an established system can lead to problems...so thing is to keep eyes open for any alarm signals and be always ready with prepared saltwater.

Just a suggestion, why dont you setup a quarantine tank...and put all these corals in there and slowly transfer them few at a time on a weekly basis into the main display tank....helps prevent the unnecessary stress on you as well as the DT...;)

Good luck and would love to see some pics of your collections....

This are the only soft corals that my system will have but only for 2 weeks becouse they are for sale. The others are for coral frag farming.

Is this the new 200 gallons you added recently that caused the stn? I would not say that your sps are doing well with this being a recent issue. Id be very leary of adding a bunch of corals to a tank that you have been having issues with alk in particular plus your salt thats reading 15dkh if I remember correctly. Have all these issues been fixed with stable conditions since? Along with the salt brands and associated parameters?

Sounds like a scary $$$ risk to me...

Yes but what you don't is that I was using Api tes kit for a 8 kh but when I used elos kh test result was 5 :s I raised it up to 8 and 9 kh and every thing is ok know. I don't know why this api test is giving this high kh but I don't trust it any more. Noweverything is doing well I will post pics later.
