New 125 build

My stand was designed to fit the sump I had to make it bigger because my sump is the same size as the display

The only issue with that is that the weight is being support by the screws. I read somewhere that a screw has a load bearing capacity of 50lbs.

That center cross member is definitely sitting on 2x4 supports. Look at image 3 of OP's original post.

Stand looks good! It has 2x4's running across depth wise so it will be fine.

The 2 center posts look OK but its the 4 corners that sparks the concern as the tank sits on the plywood not the 2x4 horizontals, plus they are only held up by the screws into the vertical 2x4s; notice the bottom horizontal 2x4s do not sit on the ground.

You are absolutely correct! Didn't notice in the original pics that the center was supported by the 2x4's. Good catch. The corners, however, have issues like others have mentioned.

The corners are supported I added the wood after I plumbed it cause I needed to cut out for my overflow. If any of you guys run a sump the same size as your display you will know that there are challenges that you won't have when your sump is smaller

Look at the third and fourth pic of the original post, the weight is being supported axially by the sistered 2x4's not the screws, this is good, and not so easy to do with a sump as wide as the tank. I had a similar problem using a 40b sump with a 90 display.
