Finally getting around to posting pictures of my tank! This is a 48 x 30 x 24 150 LeeMar tank, Euro braced top. Inwall, built under a staircase in a storage closet.

I don't have much in terms of build pics, I was too busy actually working on this to take pictures. But these are a few:

Cutting the wall, I hate sheet rock! Installed a 2 x 6 header to shift the load.

Walls and stand were painted with the new Valspar Wall Epoxy, stuff works great and very durable. Can be tinted to any color, seems water proof.

All Sch 80 plumbing, did all the acrylic work myself. Small fortune to US_Plastics.

Sump room done, you can see the Humidistat and Temp control on the wall. This controls the vent fan in the ceiling. Blue pipe is a direct line from the storage tanks in the garage that have RO and Premix water that can be pumped into tank quickly. Also installed a drain from the washing machine drain in the next room.

Light rack with Maristar fixture and Galaxy ballast. Have two ballast so I can have sunrise/sunset effect with MH.

NewTank9.jpg

Front of tank has doors that flip up for ease of cleaning, would be impossible to clean without these!

Found a medicine cabinet to mount on wall that can hold all the test kits and misc. products.

Frag Tank:

Made the tank from scratch.

You can see the chiller under the stand and my RO tank for Auto Top Off. I fill this about once a week and it drips into the drain on the frag tank. (Red Line On the Right)

Can't wait to start trading frags, have been a buyer for the most part, now I can start contributing.

Reefkeeper and Tunze Controller, this controls everything on the tank.

Some plumbing pics from the main tank:

Oceans Motions 4 way. I am so sick of plumbing!

Thanks to my wife for putting up with my obsession! AT has been a great help, most the fish and the tank are from them! Please ask questions as I have been at this for 8 years now and have done everything wrong 2 or 3 times. You can also come over and check anything out in person if you want, just send me a note. Would love to help anyone plan a future tank!

Super sweet. That looks gorgeous from the outside and well constructed on this inside. Props to you!

I do have one MAJOR complaint about your setup though, there doesn't seem to be a couch or something to sit on and stare at that thing for hours at a time?

:)

Seriously man, beautiful set up. I've got a couple dozen frags growing out myself so maybe we can trade in a bit.

Fantastic job. I really like the light with rail design to get it out of the way when working in the tank. That is a very impressive design.

Very nice setup! Nice to see someone post a new tank when so many of us have been selling ours lately.

Thanks for the props. Now I just need to get some more exotic corals. This was a solid 3 months of work to build and countless mail orders. I kinda stole ideas from hundreds of tanks on Reef Central. Helped justify buying every power tool imaginable. I wish I had more build pics, but simply never got around to taking pictures. I will post pics of the RO system later, it includes two 50 gallon mixing tanks! I still need to figure out what to do for calcium/alkalinity. I would like to automate this, but not sure I really want to do a reactor.

great use of space, I like it all! aquascape, coral, fish, tank, stand, design, frag tank, lighting, all good! great job! :)

I'm running a Ca reactor but having difficulty keeping alk stable, thinking of getting a dosing pump and using 2 part, several impressive TOTM's lately that are dosing
