Hey everyone, I'm starting a new Marineland 16 gallon high aquarium, and it's my first foray into saltwater. Here are the specs:

-16 gallon aquarium (20x10x18)
-Aquafuge 2 HOB Refugium
-Pico evolution powerhead with FLO rotating adapter
-Aquaclear 20 (for flow and chemical/physical filtration)
-Ecoxotic LED lighting: Panorama Pro (White/blue) and stunner strips (magenta/blue and ultraviolet)
-BRS Pukani dry rock
-Live sand (2"-3")
-ATO system (probably from autotopoff.com--or whatever the site is)

Livestock:

-Pearly/yellowhead jawfish
-Court jester goby

-An acan or two
-A favia or two
-ORA green montipora digitata
-ORA pink stylophora
-A montipora capricornis or undata, preferably a red cap.
-some zoas
-koko worm
-maybe a birdsnest coral
-maybe an acro or some other sps

I'm in the process of acquiring all the equipment and the tank will have to wait to be set up until after I move, which could take a month or two.

I want to keep the tank simple, clean, and stable, keeping the bioload low and pod population up. I might get collectoritis, but I really want to keep it uncluttered...we'll see what happens, haha.

Here's the aquascape I was thinking of. Comments or suggestions?

Btw, the aquascape is sitting in a 10 gallon standard, so after 2ish inches of sand and a taller tank, there should be about 5 or 6 inches of water above the highest part of the 'scape.

Any comments or nods of approval would be welcome. :D

I like it a lot. Having to wait a month or two until you move isn't such a bad thing, it will give you more time for research... looking forward to seeing the build.
