New 180 Plumbing Thought

Ok...if the above image works, here's my thought. I no longer have room in my basement for a basement sump system as I have in the past. So, sump will be below tank in wall. I've been thinking about the pump noise issues I'll most likely experience (tank in entertainment room).

I'm thinking of locating all of my pumps in the basement (directly under the first floor), so they would be around 14-16" below the sump level. Sump and skimmer would be in wall under tank. I would have a skimmer pump, main return pump and closed loop pump.

I don't show valves and stuff on picture, and will have, but anyone think of some pro's/cons to this, besides a little more head pressure on pumps? I'm also thinking that if something would spring a leak at pump, wouldn't hurt anything in basment....

Thanks,

Mack

Yes you are right bebo...lot of holes. I have 4 already from my last 180 that used a basement sump system, so would have to add at least 2.

Anyone think of any other cons to a setup like this?

Thanks
