New 20G Long Reef

Hi All,

i just started a new 20 gallon Reef tank. start up was about 7 weeks ago with about 30 lbs of live rock and 20 pounds of live sand. Coral Life 36in dual T5 lighting.
currently have a pair of clowns and a purple firefish.

As far as corals, i have all soft at the moment, frog spawn, hammer, green star polyp, etc.

my question is what inverts of sorts and what QTY can i put into the tank to help keep everything bright and clean.(shrimp, snails, stars etc.) watching videos and looking at photos online i always see these small reefs that are basically spotless and insanely beautiful.

FYI your frogspawn and hammer are not softies. They are LPS= Large Polyp Stony coral

As far as cuc there are companies that put together packages for each size tank. I find them way overdone and should be half of what they say. Research clean up crew on Google and you will find lots of companies selling the packages to get an idea of what you will need. Don't over buy them because once they clean out the food some will become cannibals and others will die of starvation.

good to know, as you can probably tell, i'm pretty new to the salt water side of things, but very dedicated to my tanks. willing to put in all the time and money needed to keep them healthy.

thanks for the info. i saw a CUC on liveaquaria which is what sparked my post. the amount they had listed for a 30G did seem very excessive, with my tank still being as new as it is i wasn't sure how many would be too many.

also, being that this tank is only a 20G long, is having two clown and the purple firefish my limit? if i could add one more of something i would love to do so. any recommendations? or should i leave it as is as far as fish go.
