I am a new LIRA member. I have been to one meeting and look forward to being there at the next. I have a 225 with 3 400 watt mh and 2 actinic vho's. My parameters are all in line. Zero ammonia,nitrites, nitrates, and phosphate. PH is 8.2, calcium is 420 - I have to check ALK. Salinity at 1025 and temp at 79.
I currently have a Naso tang, cinnamon clown, and a blue tang all doing well. I have 3 soft corals and some zoos that are doing well. I have a brown/green algae bloom that is almost done and some coraline is starting to grow. I have a fuge which I just added some chaeto to.
I would like to try some SPS - some easy stuff. Any suggestions as to what I should try first. Also, if anyone could bring me a little sand from their tanks at the next meeting - that would be great. I am trying to build up the critters in my sand bed - micro stars, amphipods etc.
