Hello RC,
I have been in the Freshwater side of things for a few years now and decided to dive in head first into the salty side of things when one of my friends broke down their 75 gallon reef. I recently acquired a 25 gallon tank and stand. I made a sump out of a spare 10 gallon i had laying around and made a DIY PVC overflow. I will add in some pictures later when i get home from work (shhhh dont tell my boss) so you guys can see what im working with. I have had it set up and running now for about 2 months with just a few corals and my diamond watchman goby. I got all my equipment from my friend who broke his tank down. he didnt have the skimmer that he was using but did have an extra he used for his qt tanks. its just a coralife wooden block airpump combo type skimmer. My question is wouldnt this type of skimmer add micro bubbles to the DT even if placed into the sump. Im curious because i would enjoy using it until i can get a larger 20 tall to make a bigger sump for a taller, better skimmer. Thanks for any advice you can give me on this tank.
