This is great news.
1) How can I order one?
2) I need to cancel the Profilux 3 preorder. (order 6301)
3) Besides the rs232 connection, what are those other ones on the back of the unit?

I really just wanted to control the lights all along.

If you have ordered a Profilux 3, I think you would regret downgrading that far, seriously, thats a massive difference in control and functionality

I am sure the P3 is a great product, but I could use the savings to upgrade the LEDs on the AI unit. I have everything else on my reef running great, I really want to control the lights more than everything.


I only ordered the P3 last week and was told they would ship in mid January, so
I am sure Spencer can cancel my order and take care of this.

Hi

Spencer is off on Sundays and Mondays so i can not check and the units are at the UPS facility so i cant get them back.

There were two units made available for pre Christmas and you were one of them.
 
The difference is you can keep this unit connected to the PC all the time when uploading new settings unlike the Light II

Both units are great just depends on your own goals
 
After discussing this with the mfg, I have decided to keep the p3. I thought the new light bar had wireless built in, but it doesn't.
 
Are the $299 controller for the Aqua Illumination lights still available? If so, what is the model number I would order or where can I buy them? Does it come with everything I would need to basically plug and play?
 
ecoxotic state they do not have support for external controllers so the answer would be no.

The only thing you would need for the $299 controller is the Ai -GHL cable which you get from Reef Geek.

with this 299 controller, can you dim your lights? also does the profilix 3 come equiped to dim the lights or is this another piece i would hav to purchase?

ALL profiLuxs can dim lights, depending on what dimmable lights you have will depend on what else you require for example

1-1V dimming - requires nothing more than the cheap interface box

AC dimmable ballasts requires the Power bar 2 Dim

Ai LED control requies the Ai control cable supplied by us for free when purchasing a GHL

TMC aqua ray requires LED-control1 an in expensive control box

Ecoxotic LED requires an AC dimmable power bar

DIY LED is driven by 1-10v and is interfaced using EVG-AP-2F card.

All these options come at under $50
 
I have Wingo building me LED hood for my tank and I would like to know what would be the cheapest way to get 5 port 1-10volt? What would be the price? How much is the profilux plus II ex cost? thanks
