Hi guys,....I just got my new screen in the mail. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-2-inch-TFT-LCD-Module-Display-Touch-Panel-PCB-tf-card-ssd1289-320-240-/251258052124?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a80259e1c It's a 3.2 TFT model YX32B screen. My old screen was a TFT 320QVT. The old screen had a 40 pin header that plugged into my Mega Sheild V1.0 and that plugged into my Mega2560.
My problem is the new screen has a 32 pin header (two rolls of 16). I've Google looking for a answer on how to plug the new screen into my Mega 2560,but can't seem to find the answer.
Do I just offset the screens pins to the board? need a new shield, are they just "not" compatible? I can't seem to find an answer, any help is appreciated.---Rick

No not really,... I can see the pin numbers on the two screen pin headers, but am I to plug the new 32 pin screen into the old V1.0 shield, which in turns plugs into the Mega, and if so which way do I align the two?---Rick

no you can't use the 32 pin TFT on a 40 pin TFT shield..
buy another shield or discrete wire it using the pinout.

Ok got it, Thank you! Are there 32 pin shields that will work with a 2560, or is this the wrong screen altogether for a Mega board? I'm rather new to the Arduino world. And what would I enter for my search 32 pin TFT mega shield, or how would I word the search? The site I just bought from didn't list the boards the screen works with. :headwally:
