just setup this new cube...still need a skimmer and better lights so for now i have some PC's over it that have been sitting in the closet just to keep the color on the rock..

here is a shot of it rinsining with bleach and freshwater since i bought the tank used...I through the T5s on it just for the pic but i threw them back on my other tank since i dont have any livestock in the tank yet.

Rinsed out out real good and added the rock :) the rock was cut in half with a tile saw so it was perfectly flat on the back side to make a sweet veneer on the back wall!

No but it was a tank that i bought used. Then it was emptied and sat in the closet with the sand still in the refugium that is in the back compartment of the tank. If i buy things new i just give it a good rinse with freshwater.

Thanks! originally i had some crazy out of the norm ideas for this tank but i think i am gonna stay nice and simple. Since it is in my living room i dont want to many wires hanging out of the tank for powerheads, and since it is a cube with the built in wetdry/refugium i dont plan on adding a sump to house a massive skimmer or anything to intense like my other tanks. So, since i wont have to many powerheads i wont go crazy with the sps like i normally do but i am thinking i may make it an LPS tank :) For lighting i think i will use the current solana 150 watt HQI pendent but swap the 14k lamp out for a 20k and may retrofit some LED moonlights in if i can figure a way to hide it well. If i start going to crazy with the tank i think my girlfriend will move out hahah! so i gotta keep it looking pretty. For a skimmer i think i may use the Tunze Nano DOC.... Anyone use these before? do they work well? I know it wont compare to my DAS but again if i add a sump my girl may kill me! So i am looking for a nice nano skimmer that can fit in the back of the tank and not be an eye soar....
