NEW - 30G Finnex Cube

I'm trying to get more information about when the finnex 30g cube will become available. Does anyone have any recent information on this tank? I can't seem to get any diffinative answers from anyone and i have emailed finnex 3 times in the past 2 weeks and havent heard anything. In the past finnex has been known for their great customer service, but for me it has been less than expected.

Any new information on the tank?
Any ideas for contacting finnex?
Anything else i need to know about finnex?
Anything that i'll have to buy along with the tank?
 
I asked this question in the Premium Aquatics forum and here is the answer I received today from Jeremy.

The tanks will be ready to ship out the beginning of next week. The first wave will include the refugium with lighting, and the skimmer in the back. They will also be available with either a 4 bulb T5 hood, or an HQI/T5 combo hood. Both of these fixtures will incorporate moonlights as well.

I've never used that forum but i've emailed premium aquatics and they told me the end of the month a couple of days ago but all of the answers that i get from them are a bit iffy.

I'm not quite sure what you mean? We try and answer questions truthfully to the best of our knowledge. The information that I supplied "mattseattle" yesterday was from speaking directly with Ken from Finnex just a few minutues prior to answering that thread.

I dont mean anything in a bad way because your company has done more than expected in terms of customer service in answering my questions. the only place where i'm getting confused is i'm getting multiple answers from your company about when this will be available. i've been in contact with michelle and she told me the end of the month, then someone else said the 20th of this month and now you say the 23rd. I think your answer is the most firm one that i have recieve so ill go with that. Is there any way to preorder these in order to assure that i get one of the first shipment rather than having to wait longer. I know that there is a lot of interest in this tank. PM me if you'd rather jeremy.

I think the confusion comes from us talking directly to the manufacturer and what they are telling us. We were originally told last couple weeks of this month. So I think that Michelle told you the very end of the month as to not let you down if they were delayed at all, she was being cautious. I think then maybe another sales rep may have told you the 20th, putting that right at the last couple weeks of this month. I then got an update from Finnex yesterday saying that they were in customs being cleared, and they would be ready to ship the very beginning of next week, which would be the 23rd. Believe it or not, in this industry even getting a date such as the 20th, or even the last couple weeks of October and actually having the product show up in that time frame is awesome! :) Most new products in this industry always seem to have delays for some reason or another.

We are taking preorders, however we are not able to give definitive pricing yet. If you have any questions or if there is anything else I can assist you with just let me know.

Whats the general track record like for the Finnex MH lights? I haven't found much information out there. I'm interested in buying the 18" fixture to fit on a 24 gallon jbj?
 
I received an e-mail from Ken from Finnex today which might clarify things a bit ...

Thanks for your interest in our M-Tank.

30g glass M-Tank with refugium setup won't be available until 10/25/06. The lighting available with T5 HO 24W x 4 + LED or HQI 150W + T5 HO 24W x 2 + LED.

All Delight....

The quality is actually pretty darn good for a Chinese import. They are definitely of higher quality than a lot of the imported hoods on the market.
 
Bleh, I'm so bitter. Buy and set up the 22g not weeks before the 30g with better lights and a fuge comes out.. guess thats life :sad1:
 
looks to me that theres alot of light leaking out of the fuge and into the main system.. i dont like the design
 
All Delight...if that's really you in your avatar you are S-M-OKIN' hot!!! If it's simply an avatar you copied from somewhere it's sweeet :-). Now on to the Finnex 30g cube...does anybody have any guesstimates as to the price yet?
