New 60g cube tank

I love my MP10 but placement produces flow at. 90 degree angle off the glass. I switched to two Jebao WP4 because the can direct the flow at various angles. A 60 cube is only 24" in any direction which made placement of more powerful pumps a problem. i doubt that my Jebao pumps will be anywhere near the 4 years I have on my mp10 but the price is right and I favor the ability to fire water off the glass at angles. The only issue I have have with the Jebao pumps in calcium build up in the sleeve bearing. You have to vinegar soak these rascals about every 6-8 weeks or the will seize.

I have 2x Jebao RW-4's in my 60 cube. Those, along with a fairly high flow rate through the returns, is plenty for me.

I am leaning towards the MP 40. Do you guys think one of this powerhead is more than enough current for the tank? Or should I do two of the MP 10?

You are going to be able to get much better flow variability if you go with two MP-10's rather than a single MP-40.

okay thanks i will get two MP-10. Where did you place yours in your tank thegrun? On the side or back of tank? Thanks

I placed mine on the back wall. The flow would be a little better if they were on opposite sides, but they look much better on the back.
