After tearing down my reef tanks a few years ago i decided i couldnt last any longer fishless
I tore down a 220 gallon reef that ran for a few years, several nano cubes, 55g and a 15g reef, why? all because of coralline algae
I couldnt scrub it anymore, i was becoming injured and losing use of my wrist..so everything went, i gave all the livestock away, sold mh lights, and all but the 220g got tossed in the garbage...coralline still in tow.
So now im trying a new tank, no live rock and nothing that can introduce coralline, no crabs, snails etc
I should stay coralline free right?
I purchased artificial corals from Instant Reef, and i just have a few chromis for now. I plan on a snowflake eel once the tank matures a little, his lil pvc pipe home is in place waiting for him..and whats in store after that is still up in the air, maybe a toby, although i saw a baby porcupine puffer today and i must admit i melted , but i know thats a bad idea
So heres my fake setup
30x30x19
two LED lights because the tank was so wide one only lit the front so i had to get another for the back
