New 75 Gal Project Thread

first one looks like a frogspawn and the second one is a candycane. Also, you are moving WAY too fast and adding too much to your tank at once. You may think the fish and corals are fine but it's going to bit you in the butt over time. I myself would take the corals back and wait atleast 3-4 months for the tank to establish somewhat.

Thanks for the ID Andrew.

I had no choice my friend was moving out of country on short notice. There is no place to take them back to. I took them out of his established tank put everything in water and into my tank within 30 minutes.

Are you sure that is a frogspawn? None of the pics I saw on the net had the big stalks like that one does. Then again I know nothing about corals.

I would suggest getting the Damsels out of there and taking them to the LFS and get some credit for them. They are stressed out and they will pick on the clowns. The clowns are slow and that's why they are not good to have with damsels. You should have taken as much water as possible fro mthe "donor" tank and put that in your system.

Your going way to fast for a reef tank. I would take it all to the LFS and ask if they could hold your fish and coral until your tank is cycled.

The only thing the LFSs around me would take from me is my money. Actually the damsels have left the clowns alone so far. Returning them is not an option at this point since the previous owner specifically didn't want them to go back to a LFS.
