new 90 gallon

mojo~

Skimmer Guy
I am getting a new 90 gallon and going bare bottom on this tank. is there anything anyone would recommend doing before swapping out my 75. I am not going to drill it for close loop. already thought about that. I am using a seio 1100 most likely under the rock work and two tunze powerheads. Also bumping up the flow for the sump from a quiet one 3000 to a mag 9.5. So I think with all that it should get me started for flow. I will be pulling the live rock from my 75 an everything should go pretty quick. I hope take one tank off and plumb in the new one. New one will be corner overflow. I think i am going to put in a gate valve for the backpressure flow to the fuge. Anything else I should maybe consider while the tank is out. I should be about 3500gph flow to start but will probably go to about 5000gph when all said and done. I might put in a spray bar too. Not sure. Any advice will be great. Thanks.

Also if anyone wants my 75g I will include the quiet one 3000 (780gph) with the tank. ($50) value

As long as you plumb the back pressure from the return pump in the fuge you will be ok. The 9.5 is to much for the 90 by itself, aslo maybe consider doing the quiet one 4000 just for power consumption.

Is the back of the 90 going to be painted or are you going to leave it open?

I ran a 4000 on my 65 ,the back pressure would vent to the fuge. The 9.5 should rain fine. I dont get the inrush ad noise because of my filter sock assembly. Not to mention I already bought the 9.5 I want to try to keep all the garbage in the tank suspended so I can filter it out. I will be getting rid of a few things as well. I will be getting rid of:
Mushroom rock. (dontating to raffle for meeting)
Devils Hand
BTA green Anenome
and maybe my brain coral we will see how he does with all the added flow.
