Hey Roger I've been hearing about the new Tunze 9003 nano coming out any idea on the ETA or maybe a pre-ordering (Since I live in Austin ) Thanks for any info know how busy you are.
The new model is actually 9004, with luck, we will show it for the first time at Reefapalooza. They should be available in December/January. It will not replace the 9002 as it will be a bit bigger and stronger and won't fit in most all in one nano's, exceptions being the larger Red Sea Max and Sera tanks.
Any ideas roughly the footprint and required water level? I am in need of a skimmer and this may fit the bill for my small Eshopps sump. Need to know if I should wait for it to come out
It would only be suitable up to about 65 gallons, so it wouldn't work for a 210 like you have for that I would recommend the 9410 or 9415 depending on load.
In our last conversation you mentioned a replacement unit that would have a larger spread and that I should wait for November. Is there something else coming out?
"The main reason for this is the tank width, the 6205 flow covers a 60" by 36" area, where the 6105 covers a 7ft by 2ft area. It is very likely that there will be some design changes in the next 6 months to a wider flow for the 6105 of about 5ft by 30". If you aren't in a huge hurry, a new catalog will come in November and unveil any new products or product changes."
This thread is about new skimmers so I was very confused, the 6105 and 6205 are flow pumps. I would still recommend the 6105 with wide flow for your tank.
