What's the difference besides one being a later model? What new features are added to the new?

I dont think there is anything different other than the color. The older units can be firmware updated to have the new features. You can ask on the Neptune forum and see if there is anything else.

My old ACjr. did not have a blacklit display....new one does.

and some have a serial cable input

Mine is the old one and has a back lit display and serial port. They were options then. Are they standard now?

yes, I believe so.

I checked the Neptune site. It looks like the serial port is still an option, but the back light is standard.
