New acquisitions

I got these about three weeks ago from The Tropicorium in Romulus, MI. I payed $10 bucks for the frag, I was actually after these blue palys. They were a light faded purple in there frag tank, I knew they would turn into something I thought it would be purple but the have turned into this bright metallic blue color.. The others that came along have turned out pretty sweet too. The first pic is the Palys, the second pic is the rock I fragged the palys off but some have grown back already...They are mixed with bright green and yellow centers that for $10 buck you can't beat this frag. The third pic is some palys I got today in a trade....Wait till you see these when they are open....

These next ones are the sweetest....I can't tell you the name of them yet...

I wish I could post larger pictures...You can really tell detail in a higher resolution picture....the 50k limit is really a limit....The full blown pics are really nice.

Very nice!! Tubs said those palys (When closed)reminded him of when his son was circumcised, and that was the leftover flap. LOL
They look good, in a day or 2 they should be opened up for ya.

Be careful with the blue palys. I got a rock from Trop a few years ago. They grow so freakishly fast and encrust everything that it chokes out other zoos.

If you have a problem with the blue palys growing to fast... I have a solution

I waited to post them(Blue palys) because I wanted to see what they would turn into didn't think that it would be a bright blue like that....The zoanthids that are on the same rock have really taken off too. I fraged a small frag of the zoanthids when I fragged off the palys, on the zoa rock I have 6 new polyps in just a 3-4 week time. The palys that I fragged off have made 3 new polyps so they have doubled in the same time period not to mention they have filled in the bare spot on the main rock with the zoanthids.....Quite the fast growers.....Now if only my Purple Deaths will grow like that of course they have only been in the tank a day..... I would be a happy zoahead....

Wow, those blue colors are awesome. Keep me in mind too when it comes to trading time!
