went "just looking" last nite ,,,went to Best in pets in Elyria just to see what came in this week ,,,i didnt want one and i know they are tough to keep , but i picked up a green mandarin just because ,,,,he is AWESOME !!!!! 15.99 ,,,,,hes big enough to make a sandwich if he croaks ,,,, 4 inch long ,1 inch grith ,,,,HES BIG AS HECK !!!! I know they can be a bummer fish and hard to keep ,,,he was swimming around pickin on the live rock in about 2 hours ,,,,,, i just couldnt help myslef HE WAS THAT COOL LOOKING,, HIS COLORS BORDER A OLD HENDRIX VIDEO ,,,JUST PLAIN STUPID COOL ,,,,,,, ,,,,,,the Visa was in need !!!

if anyone has had luck with these let me know your trick to keeping them alive and eating ,,,,,,,,
if he croaks ,,im gonna stuff him and use it for a paperweight ,,,,
hes that big and cool looking

they have a few more this size as well ,,,this one had nooooooo problem eating something ,,,,hes big !!

As long as you have pods in your tank he will be fine. I had mine almost a year but he got to close to my anemone. They are by far the best looking fish IMO to have in a reef.

Hey Murph,
Just like lpdk91 says...if you got the pods producing in your tank, he'll be fine...Usually after the tank is about 8 months old is a good measure for the pods to be in there. I got one from Best in Pets that was huge too. He didn't make it....the one I have now has been in there about 6 months and is a pig.....

I got mine at TA. he's nice sized and fat and happy. he's the main reason I put a fuge on my tank. to grow pods for him. we call him Mandy...lol
was looking in the fuge and there are tons of pods in there... future meals.

If you don't have pods in your tank, you might want to pick up a bottle or 2....they really are your mandrin's best chance
