PBT's are a tough fish. I love tangs. I have 11 of them in my house and I wont touch a PBT.

i guess i'll give up on the pbt.i just picked up a red sea sailfin.i'll take some pics tonight.christie it's not cyano it's more like brown algae.i topped of my tank with tap water and baddabing i got brown algae.

Despite the ich with PBTs, all the ones Ive seen in people's tanks are just downright mean! From what I witnessed, they are just as mean as a sohal.

yeah i've been noticing that they're agressive.well i just introduced the sailfing to the tank after acclimation and it seems to be doing fine.at first the naso nipped at him for been around his algae clip.my naso[biggie]is very protective about his food.

Oh man sorry to hear that.. its really amazing to see just how bad our water is if it flared out like that just from tap water- hopefully in time and water changes it should fade out

Just for reference though i've seen cyano in brown red and green so who knows.. doesn't look like dinos though so yeah..

Sorry to hear about the powder brown When I get my 125g setup.. and even in the future with bigger tanks (and bigger dreams for me eh haha) I still think i'd stick to smaller tangs. I really like the way the tomini looks... The bigger ones are beautiful but they seem like such a hassle I would rather stay on the safe side with one I knew I'd have better chances keeping alive I just hate to find out when one of my fish goes belly up. Constantly amazed at how these animals really somehow let you get attached to them (for me at least) the way our more furrier and feathery friends do

haha - the truth hurts sometimes. he reminds me of one of the tangs you own...just a LITTLE smaller. but the bigger they are the more gray they have so the uglier they get...

hey brittany.the little clowns are doing great.they are actually all in Wiso's tank still.they look so happy together i figure i'll leave together until they mature a little.i'll post some pics later.
