New additions ideas???

Had to do a WC today and people been saying I had to remove some fish so I did. Anyways they are all in a holding tank right now until I decide what to use the store credit against. The LFS said they could give around $80 maybe more depending on how the fish look when they see them. I've brainstormed a bunch of things but I'm not sure what to go with. I want to form a plan now so that I don't have to do what I did today again.

Here's what I brainstormed today:

getting rid of the lion?

Well the engineer goby will dig in your sand and make tunnels but are nice since it looks like a striped eel (I had one and everybody thought it was until I told them it was a goby). Mine was around a foot long, they are nice if you can get past their digging.

Coral beauty angels are nice.
watch out on those dottybacks, they have a mean disposition
mystery wrasses are nice but cover the tank, they can jump.

I just thought I might as well I mean all he does is stalk things while sitting on a rock. I like more active colorful fish.

My tank is completly covered but what if I were to add like two different kinds of angels? Like say a flame and an eibli?

You might consider S L O W I N G D O W N!

I must agree. We are all trying to be more than helpful but it doesn't seem like you want to learn anything about the fish you have or are constantly asking everyone to buy. We are all more then willing to answer questions and contribute to meaningful threads, but you need to, as Steve has clearly stated, slow down and research.

If you have questions, please ask them in one thread and not in personal messages.

And as always, eAquaria will be more than willing to help you sell your fish. :)

masterkyle, you are trashing the forum up with all of your threads about buying new fish that are too large for your tank, or are too difficult. Please go do some reading, and come back after you know the definition of slow. bye!

+1. Hes invaded the Large Reef Tank Section too.

LFS having 300g, 500g, and 1000g in stock? i find that hard to believe... I think this guy is just here to annoy the crowd.

Please name the fish store, I'm sure someone from Texas would want in on this big Sale. I might be interested in going there myself.

105 post in 3 days since registering. 36post/day avg. Endless numbers of threads started. This guy is just here to purposely trash up the board.

I have a 90 gallon now so say if I were to upgrade in the future what size tank should I get? They have a 180g, 200g, 250g, 300g, 500g, and a monster 1000g! Not saying I'm going to upgrade soon but like say a couple years from now.

Hey Kyle,

I appreciate your enthusiasm and curiosity. It's a fun and exciting hobby with sooo many options--they are endless. If you can dream it, you can have it--well almost.

Anywho, I am new to the forum as well, not so much the hobby. But, I use the search function A LOT! If you have a question or are wondering about something, there is a GOOD chance that someone has asked the same question over the years, and got some sound advice from all of the experience here....there's lots of great people, both moderators and members.

Use the search function, and if you are really stumped, post a well-thought out thread with details and pics to keep people interested and entertained. Not slamming, just recommending. :)

By posting multiple threads, many others are being bumped off of the main stage without much attention being paid to their thoughts and questions.

Enjoy

First sell your fish and then we can evaluate what you can do from there on out. Everyone gets excited with cool fish but do everything in steps and take your time. If you honestly and truly are happy with the fish remaining after sell the other ones then we can recommend what we would think is suitable.

My apologizes everyone, I get worked up and excitied alot but I will look into books and read a bit more. Thanks for making me now more knowledge about what I put in my tank. Thanks everybody. No more blowing up the forum

thanks bud. trust me we ALL want super huge tanks with cool fish but alas real life sets in. we handle what we can but still are content with what we have. once you sell all your fish tomorrow then you can read up on what will work in your tank and then you will come here and ask 'better' questions once you realize you have much more knowledge with this hobby and can apply it to your tank. :)

LOL, we've been there, (but maybe not posting as much :lolspin:). It's easy to get carried away in this hobby and well if you don't have a plan before hand and enter a fish store, well it's like a kid in the candy store and easy to get carried away. The fish list is still a little long, do some research on them and narrow them down. Look at fish compatibility, ultimate size and personality. Also, look for any youtube videos on the fish in question to see how it is in another person's tank and try to anticipate how it'll react in your tank. You wouldn't want to adopt that cute great dane puppy if you live in a condo on impulse, so go in the store with a list and the max # fish you tank can support.

you mentioned you are getting rid of the fuzzy lion because he's not active enough, do research on other possible replacements as for activity. Since you like the blue tang and the fish you're keeping are active, I'm betting you like colorful active fish. I still think you could put a lemonpeel mimic tang on your list (small yellowish tang).

Instead of dottybacks, have you looked at wrasses? much nicer personality.
