As the tittle says new again to the hobby few years back I had a very successful reef tank and maintained for years but had to give it up for work and travel now that my life is a bit more stable I decided to buy another tank.
Just purchase a starfire cube 50gal with 10gal sump fully plumed and mitras 6200 HV led lights with a syncra silent 3.5 main pump used from a friend.
Dimensions of the tank are 23x23x19.5
Looking to automate this setup with controllers and such any advice/suggestions to get this tank up and running efficiently as possible?
Need some advice on what protein skimmer to get I was thinking an reef octopus NWB-110 what do you guys think ?
Also want to purchase a dosing pump for the future this tank is going to be mostly SPS and some small fish with a clean-up crew
Need some advice on a powerhead for this setup that will provide adequate water movement for this specific setup.
Any new products that you can think off that I should add to this setup? I know things change over time so just wanted to see if anyone can share info.
