Question RE: a new type of algae that has just sprung up.

I have recently upgraded my lighting to PC Lighting and A new type of more annoying algae is popping up. It seams to like the glass (or thats the only place I notice it) Its bright green(well duh) but it is also quite hard to remove. It takes a good scraping (my magnafloat cant get it off) It is also growing in round clumps that are flat. Is this a stage of algae that will go away or just another thing I have to clean? Here are my tank stats. Thanks for any advice.

38 gallon
running for 3 years (I just got it from a guy in November 07)
I add purple-up and some phyto plankton for my filter feeders
salinity 1.024-1.025
Nitrate 80ppm (this just jumped up out of the blue and am working on getting it down-posted about it in another forum)
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
PH 8.4
Temp 76

Thanks!

Coralline.

You'll need a scraper with some more scraping power than a Mag Float. Urchins will eat coralline, but you'll have to mostly use a lot of good ol' elbow grease.
