I received my tank from them last month. The quality is good, the silicone was a little sloppy along the bottom, but not a big deal since it will be covered by sand. It's built quite beefy with the aluminum frame on top and bottom.
Order date: July 31
Received on: November 3
So 95 days to receive it from the order date. They are showing faster turn around time now and recently made a Facebook post stating the faster turn around is due to hiring more employees.
They are usually fairly responsive to emails, but not always. Sometimes I have to call them a couple times before I get an answer. They are only there during business hours which is somewhere around 8am-4pm CST, I'm not 100% sure.
I also ordered their stand and canopy since the quotes I received elsewhere were a lot higher. The quality is also nice on them, but I am a little skeptical on the strength of the stand in comparison to going with steel. The canopy arrived damaged. The front was cracked/split in 3 places from it shifting during shipping. I called them first thing the next day and they started on a replacement. I'm still waiting to hear the replacement is being shipped, it's been 5 weeks now. They told me it would be shipped the week of Thanksgiving or the week after, last week. Getting a little miffed since I am ready to get my lights and some other things mounted in the canopy.
The tank had a small nick midway along the front pane. I did not notice it upon first opening the crate since it is so small. Two weeks later when we moved it into the living room on the stand I noticed it. I called them and they sent out an epoxy to fill in the nick so it wouldn't end up spiderwebbing or worse. The epoxy they sent required a gun to use properly, which they did not send. I had to pay ~$30 at Grainger to order a gun. I probably could've just pushed the 2-part epoxy out by hand, but felt more comfortable having the gun.
The first shipping company they used was going to try delivering the tank with a semi that did not have a lift. That company told me they couldn't deliver to residential unless we had a fork truck waiting. Why they would've used this company to begin with to get to my place knowing their free shipping says curbside, I have no idea... So they had a second shipping company go pick the crate up from the first shipping company. The second company brought it to my place at noon, when I told them I wouldn't be available until 4pm or later. So it was just the driver and I at the house. Though he had a lift gate we couldn't get it on the lift gate with just the two of us and a pallet jack. They agreed to come back in the evening when I could have enough people to manhandle it out.
Their price and free shipping were the selling points when I was trying to decide on who to order from. I'd probably order from them again, but I would look at other options again when making the decision.
