So I finally got around to changing my RO filters…and an hour and a half later…and they’re finally changed. I swear the previous owner did not understand the concept of hand tighten.
Agree 100%. Those housings have needed a redesign for years. So I finally got around to changing my RO filters…and an hour and a half later…and they’re finally changed. I swear the previous owner did not understand the concept of hand tighten.
I'm asking you if we are supposed to.I didn’t but didn’t know I had to.
If I’m understanding the question correctly, I have a bypass valve between the micron/carbon filters and the membrane. When I replace the carbon/micron filters, I have always flushed them by opening that bypass to not clog the membrane with carbon dust.I'm asking you if we are supposed to.

When I replace the carbon/micron filters, I have always flushed them by opening that bypass to not clog the membrane with carbon dust.

I would think that would work. But it would be a lot more work that installing the bypass@griss Do you think I could just remove the membrane to flush then put it back?
Yes, you're right.I would think that would work. But it would be a lot more work that installing the bypass![]()
Would this work?I have a bypass valve between the micron/carbon filters and the membrane.
