New Bangaii Cardinal spitting out food

Hi All...
I got a Bangaii cardinal last night. He's active and will chase after food but just spits it out.

I've tried:

Larry reef frenzy (soaked in garlic)
Hikari frozen Brine and Mysis shrimp
Hikari Krill
Hikari Squid
Life Specturm pellets

Is it just not ready to eat or is this a sign of a fish who is not going to eat?

That's a lot of food to feed in one day! Odds are he just isn't hungry.

Leave him be for a day or two.

Any other reason you are concerned? Is he getting picked on by other fish?

The Bangaii's I've had have always taken a while to start eating. A week, in one case.

Indeed it was. I was able to just suck up one or two pieces and shoot them in his direction with a turkey baster so I didn't over feed the rest of the tank.

Not gonna do anything tomorrow but go to the LFS and ask them what they were eating

also, there's only a shrimp goby in the tank with some inverts. That goby is afraid of his own shadow, definitely not bothering the cardinal
