New Blue Gig

Walked into our LFS at the right time. This blue gig had only been in the shop for two days and I bought it on the spot. At the store, it was very bright blue. Had to set up the hospital tank that evening and picked up the anemone the next day.

He has been in the hospital tank for one week with daily cipro treatment. He expelled some black junk for a few days, but is looking very strong now. His color is not as bright, but it is hard to tell under the light on the hospital tank. He will stay in the HT for another day or two and then will move him to the DT where I already have a small green gig with a pair of Onyx Picassos.

Are you sure it's a gigantea? Part of the underside is showing and I don't see the purple verrucae. It may just be the photo, or my eyes..

Either way, nice carpet! Best of luck with your continued success.

It does, although it is a little bleached now so they are not as obvious. Definitely a gig, but easier to tell in person. I am hoping the color looks better again when I move it to the DT with good lighting. At the LFS, it was very blue.

I saw 2 purple ones at a LFS this week. when I asked how much they said 200 each...they were a little bigger than a softball...that a little crazy. I want one bad but idk if I'd pay 200 for one

Yeah the black stuff was zoo so it'll need more time to color up, but it'll be worth it.

Very nice find, and I think we need pictures of your green one!!!!

Here is a photo of my small green gig and the perculas. The color is way off because of the LED's.
