New Blue/Green Sympodium Coral

Hi,

Attached are pics of my newest coral, a blue sympodium colony :inlove:

My camera makes the picture a little darker than it is in real life, but you get the idea. Also since I got it yestderday, it hasnt fully opened, the right side and parts of the bottom are still closed. I cant wait for it to fully open, it looks great in person.

Let me know what you think, and if you have this coral what kind of placement you find it likes best

Nice buy! I've been wanting to pick one of these up for awhile for my softie tank and haven't gotten around to it. I think they're really nice looking.

This is mine. I got it from my LFS.

In 1 month the colony double it's size.

Very easy the keep.

IMO the blue of the sympodium foot is the bluest blue of all corals.(But the foot is hidden under the polyps)

I love them! But find them to be extremely temperamental. If I bump into the rock, they all close up and take almost a full day to reopen. If I turn up my power head flow, they close up and don't reopen. Because of them I have I use my wave maker which limits me to one powerhead at a time. I am trying I find a spot with low flow when both powerheads are running, but don't think that exists in my tank.

Mine are not that temperamental...They have a xenia attitude

I think it's because I've only had it for a few days and it's still not fully used to my tank. I hope it starts acting more Xenia like soon
