New brain not open up

Received my open brain (Trachyphyllia) on Thursday and it's not expanded. It is not bleaching or losing the meat, just not expand. It is on my sand bed under T5. What should I do? Thanks.

I say give it some more time, you could shade it a little if it's in direct lights, also some tangs have a taste for it (mine did), have you seen it at night? any feeders? you can feed it too.

Tagging along -

I purchased 3 Montastrea heads on March 16th. They were QT'd for two weeks to check for critters and placed in the display last week on Wednesday.

Neither of the three are opening. I have 4 more in QT and funny enough two of those do open.

I began feeding the tank mysis shrimp and cyclop-eeze on Friday and still have no response. How long should I wait?

Lighitng is 2x150 MH DE 14k and was elevated 15" off the water surface to help acclimate them from shipping and QT (QT tank only has a 15w bulb). The Montastrea corals are at the mid-level of the tank. Porties, gorgonia and polyps all doing fine so the issue is limited to the Montastrea's and these are the only LPS I have.

All parameters I test regularly are in check.
