I got my firswt brain coral yesterday and am very excited. I placed it on top of my subtrate.

I noticed today that the brain had some sand on it, I do not know if this subtrate kickup by the fish. Is this OK? do I need to get the san off?

Thanks

What kind of brain is it? Favia or a trachophylia? If it is a trachy I would try to redirect flow as they seem to do well on the sand as sharp pints on live rock cannot irritate them. If it is a favia I would relocate it or change the direction of flow, just varies on the room you have what you have to work with.

It seems to have cleared off the sand by itself.
